Jan Crispyn has been a fitness instructor for over 30 years. Throughout her journey, she has become an ACE certified group instructor, YOGA teacher, NASM certified Personal Trainer, ACE clinical Specialist, Johnny G spin Certified, AFAA Mat Science I & II, Resist-A-Ball, and BOSU Certified, additionally she has taught bootcamp classes and specializes in low impact exercise. Her passion is sharing her knowledge and love of fitness with her students and PT clients. Her energetic personality and healthy lifestyle make her a skilled motivator and excellent role model. Her greatest reward is when her clients reach their fitness goals. Her family is her first love-Husband, Tim-Children-Jamie, Dan and Ryan and of course her 3 grandchildren-Maddy, Oliver and Lincoln (who keep her forever young). One of her favorite sayings is "Age is an attitude!"
Kristen Apellaniz is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor in the process of obtaining her 300 hour certification. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelors of Science in Health Promotion & Wellness with a concentration in Holistic Health in 2017. She is certified in Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy, with a passion in nutritional/functional movement.
The integration of the mind and body can help optimize harmony, improving over all life quality. Kristen specializes in vinyasa, but enjoys incorporating restorative ideas in order to balance the yin/yang of practice.

Kristina Korin is our Kickboxing instructor. She has been involved in the fitness industry for the past 8 years. Kristina graduated from Western Connecticut State University with an Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Promotion & Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology in 2010. Upon graduating, she has worked in corporate wellness for the past 6 years, advocating the importance of maintaining both physical and mental health.
Kristina brings her passion for physical activity to the community. Serving on the leadership board for an organization called Team Red, White and Blue, the organization enriches the lives of veterans through physical activity and community events. She is also helping manage PTSD through exercise and community support. Kristina is an avid trail runner and recently completed her first 50k trail run in 2016. When not teaching, Kristina's hobbies include camping, hiking and rock climbing.

Diana Brady started her journey in fitness as a dancer at a very young age and continued dancing into her college years and began teaching children ballet, tap and modern dance. At age 20, Diana received her first of many fitness certifications and began teaching to children, adults and seniors. Diana’s education as a dance major at SUNY Brockport provided the foundation of her Pilates training, as well as the Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais Method. Her love of all sports has led her to be involved in dance, figure skating, all types of fitness classes, personal training, kickboxing, women’s self-defense, men’s boot-camp, 5k’s, sprint triathlons, and even football. For Diana it’s not just about teaching the actual classes but more importantly, educating individuals about their own bodies, increasing the mind-body connection, and empowering people with knowledge.

Katie is a graduate of Lotus Garden's 200-hour teacher training program. Her mixed-level classes include a guided mediation at the end. Katie demonstrates modifications for all poses so even those new to yoga can participate. She is also certified in hand and foot MELT Method and EFT Practitioner. Katie is AFAA certified for aerobic teaching as well.
Katie resides in Brookfield with her husband and four children.
Laura has been training in the martial arts since she was 18 years old. She holds a 4th degree blackbelt in Goju Karate and a 2nd degree blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. She is also proficient in Filipino weapons and Tai Chi. She has been teaching fitness classes since 2008 and holds two Les Mills certifications in Body Combat and Body Pump.
Laura feels that a workout should be fun as well as productive and keeps her classes moving with a combination of energy, music and humor. She is focused on building the mind/body connection and believes proper alignment helps maximize muscle development while decreasing risk of injury.
She has taught a variety of classes over the years including Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, kickboxing, weight training, small group training, boot camp and women's self defense.
Laura lives in Bethel with her two teenage children and bakes professionally when she is not teaching.
Dan Schwatz is one of our Personal Trainers and comes with a wealth of experience. Dan has been a Personal Trainer since 2010. Born and raised in NYC, Dan is huge sports fan. In his youth Dan was active in team sports and played hockey through his teens. His love of sports had Dan make the logical move into the Fitness industry to help his clients reach their fitness goals.
He continues to be active outside of Personal Training, including participating in celebrity boxing - most recently contending for the heavyweight championship! If boxing isn't physically demanding enough, he has been a Professional Wrestler since 2006 - both sports require the athlete to have a total fitness program to be successful. Before working with us at Bethel Fitness, Dan worked for Crunch Fitness and 24-hour Fitness.
